THROUGH THE ARTIST'S EYES began with a simple question.
Not what an artist makes, but how they make it.
Over three years I followed four artists in Berlin. A producer and DJ, two rappers, a visual artist. Each of them building something out of almost nothing, and each of them letting me stay close enough to watch it happen.
There were five at the start. One stepped away.
Somewhere along the way he decided the music was no longer his to make, and he left before the picture was finished.
What you see holds four, but it was shaped by five.
I grew up on the outskirts of Berlin, surrounded by the same energy. Many of them are close friends.
The access I have is not professional. It is personal, and that changes everything the camera is able to see.
You are not looking at what they made. You are standing next to them while they find it.
It started with Johno, years before it became a project.

Rapper from Zehlendorf, Berlin, representing the 37, which gave him his name.
Independent for five years, with over six albums out.
A sound that is raw, smoky, lightly trap-infused. Nothing glorified, just a way out.
He raps his life the way he lives it, a hustler who never stops.
TTAE x Caio Colucci
Berlin-based rapper, formerly of 157shb.
His sound resists any genre, moving between sample-heavy beats, soul, jazz, bossa nova and baile funk.
Shaped by his Brazilian roots and growing up in Berlin.

Musician and producer from Mexico City, now in Berlin.
He first made a name filming live sets for artists like Boris Brejcha and Deadmau5, which is where the name comes from.
The camera work turned into his own sound.

Born in Zurich, to a Tibetan mother marked by exile and an Italian father who came to Switzerland as a young migrant worker.
A childhood between places that never felt his own led him to art, first as anger, then as a language. Self-taught, he works across illustration, tattoo, painting, sculpture and animation, with many more fields still ahead.

THE EXHIBITION
In September 2026, Through The Artist's Eyes came to life in a space for the first time.
My first solo exhibition in Berlin. Four rooms, one for each artist. Framed prints, looped footage on CRT screens, and the world of each artist opened up to whoever walked in.
For two days the archive stopped being something I carried and became something people could stand inside.
